BCPU Workshop 2024

The Workshop on Climate Prediction and Services over the Atlantic-Arctic Sector took place in Bergen on May 27-30. Streams from the workshop are now available.


The workshop featured speeches from leading climate scientists, including Rong Zhang (Princeton University) who was back in Bergen for the first time in five years with her keynote speech, "Understanding low-frequency AMOC variability and associated predictability over the Atlanic-Arctic region".

The Bjerknes Climate Prediction Unit is a dedicated team focused on enhancing climate predictions through the use of cutting-edge models and extensive climate data analysis. Their work, supported by the Trond Mohn Research Foundation, is crucial for creating accurate forecasts that support informed decision-making.
