The annual prize of NOK 250.000 is awarded to a person, a group of persons, a company or an institution which contributes to better cooperation between the University of Bergen and the community of western Norway at large.

The director at the Bjerknes Centre, Eystein Jansen, received the prize at the Christie conference on 25th April. He said he was happy and proud to receive the prize, and that communication with people outside the scientific community has always been important for the scientists at the Bjerknes Centre.
