Yangfan Zhou

My name is Yangfan, and I’m a PhD student at GFI. I did my Bachelor in China and then went to Germany for my Master.

During my Master, I worked on comparing deep-learning based models with traditional numerical weather prediction models to see how they performed in predicting heat waves. Now, for my PhD, I’ll be working with Stefan to apply machine learning techniques and explore more efficient emulators for high-resolution regional climate models.
