I'm interested in the interactions between ocean physics and biogeochemistry, and how it shapes the marine environment. I'm mainly working with numerical models, and like to combine them with data from the field. My research is currently focusing on near-time (interannual-to-decadal) biogeochemical predictions, including primary production and air-sea CO2 exchange.

European seas climate impact prediction through regional models
Focused on the northeastern Atlantic, North Sea, western Mediterranean Sea, and Arctic Ocean; SEACLIM aims to provide crucial insights into the changing marine environment over the coming years and decades. The project will develop and refine regional ocean models to produce detailed projections of marine conditions in European seas up to the year 2100.
Pioneering subseasonal-to-seasonal prediction of regional climate and extremes through hybrid AI–physics modelling
Samfunnet trenger tidlige varsler for å kunne forberede seg på ekstreme hendelser som stormene Hans og Amy og de nylige hetebølgene i Europa. Forskeren fra Nansensenteret og Bjerknessenteret skal lede Bjerknessenterets nye satsning på et varslingssystem for været fra to uker til ett år frem i tid.
