Damien Couespel

With a background in physical-biogeochemical oceanography, I focus on elucidating the responses of marine biogeochemical cycles to climate change. I am particularly interested in the interactions between ocean dynamics and biogeochemistry and their influence on both natural and anthropogenic carbon cycles, the biological carbon pump, and deoxygenation. I use mostly Earth system models, high resolution idealized models, complemented with observational data and statistical approaches.
