Om
My PhD research uses lake sediments from Svalbard to reconstruct Early Holocene climate, a period when the Arctic was warmer than today. I use biomarker proxies (alkenones and leaf-wax δ²H) to quantify past temperature change and hydroclimate variability, helping to constrain how High Arctic environments respond under warmer-than-present conditions. A short overview of the project is featured in the Bjerknes Centre story: How can we tell temperatures… | Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research
