About

Vår Dundas is a physical oceanographer and obtained her Ph.D. at the Geophysical Institute at the University of Bergen in 2024. This work was centered around the oceanic response to atmospheric forcing on Antarctica’s continental shelves using a mix of in situ observations and numerical experiments run in the ocean model ROMS.

At the Nansen Center, Dundas is part of the Acoustic Oceanography group. She is interested in polar dynamical oceanography and the use of acoustics to infer ocean temperature in the Arctic Ocean on large spatial scales.
