Dr. Edson Silva is a Researcher at NERSC where he studies oceanography, remote sensing, and climate. His work includes the development of satellite algorithms, risk assessment models of harmful algae, and forecasting models of salmon lice. Projects he is involved are: Earth Observations for Sustainable Aquaculture (EO4SA), Forecasting and observing the open-to-coastal ocean for Copernicus users (FOCCUS), and machine learning for prediction and projection of algae blooms hazards (NorHAB-ML).
