Research focuses on the study of paleoceanography and paleoclimatology in both Recent and geological times
• Stable isotopes and other geochemical tools to investigate paleoclimates and ocean history as recorded in deep-sea sediments and accretionary carbonates.
• High-resolution climate and seasonality reconstructions from annually banded records, such as bivalves and otoliths.
• Cold-water corals, i.e. Lophelia pertusa
• Ocean acidification
• Marine micropaleontology
• Radiocarbon and U/Th dating
Main methods: marine paleoproxies, paleoreconstructions, sclerochronology, dating methods, sedimentology, geochemistry
Area/ Region: North Atlantic
